On Tuesdays, March 12-April 9 at 7:00 PM, come join us for a Lenten Evening Prayer. These 5 Tuesdays are an opportunity to hear, mediate, reflect, or join in the chanting of the Evening Prayer Service found in our Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal. All are welcome.
Pierogi Sale – Ladies Aid is planning a potato/cheddar pierogi sale March 21-23. They will be making a limited supply so don’t wait! Please see Carol Moyer to place your order ($6/dozen) beginning February 24th until all orders are filled. Any help is welcome – they will begin each morning at 8 AM. Pick up will be on March 23rd.
Youth Egg Coloring Event – youth of all ages (and anyone young at heart!) are invited to join us on Friday, April 12th at 6 PM for egg decorating and a pizza party. We are need of adult volunteers to help so please contact the church office if you are interested.
On Saturday, April 13th (raindate-April 20th) we will be participating in the Community Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by St. John’s Lutheran & UCC churches. The egg hunt will be held at Upper Macungie Park, registration begins at 9:15 AM. Infants through 6th grade are invited to participate. (Volunteers for the egg hunt, please report to the park by 9 AM.) We are asking for donations of hard-boiled eggs - dropped off at the church by Friday, April 12th. They may be colored or white. We are also looking for anyone willing to donate a raffle basket! There are sign-up sheets in the narthex.
The Cinnamon Bun Bake Sale has been scheduled for April 28-30. Orders will be taken by Carol Moyer beginning next Sunday, March 31st, until the max limit is reached. Cost - $6 each. Help is needed, a sign-up will be in the narthex soon.Mother/Daughter Banquet – will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 PM HERE at St. John’s. Enjoy a fun filled evening for women and their guests. Family and friends are welcome. Dinner will be served family style and includes chicken and ham, filling, sweet potatoes, lettuce with bacon dressing, green beans, corn, & various desserts. We can seat approx. 90 people so please make reservations early. See Jeanette Holtzhafer or Carol Moyer to purchase tickets, on sale March 31st through April 21st. Tickets: $18 for adults; $9 for children 5-10; children under 5 are free. (Price includes gratuity.)
