FIVE TASKS OF THE TRANSITION TEAM DURING PASTORAL TRANSITION 

1.      To assist the congregation to appreciate their heritage and to be aware of the issues and concerns which come from the past and need to be dealt with in order to move freely into the future.

2.      To assist the congregation in the task of understanding who they are in the present context and what it is that God is calling them to be. 

3.      To assist the congregation in the changes of leadership, patterns and procedures which may occur and to welcome leadership gifts from the entire congregation. 

4.      To assist the congregation to renew its relationship to the wider church and appreciate its denominational heritage.  

5.      To assist the congregation to prepare for and become committed to new pastoral leadership and a new future.

This team meets as announced - several times a month.
